Dr. Aizuri MURAD is a consultant dermatologist with special interest in skin cancers, dermatological surgery and scarring alopecia. Early in his career, he worked and trained as a general surgical resident and was awarded memberships of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Subsequently, he continued his basic specialist training with the Trinity College Medical Scheme and was awarded membership with the Royal College of Physicians of London. He then completed the dermatology residency (specialist) training programme with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

During his dermatology specialist training, he undertook a fellowship in procedural dermatology, micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. He resumed his work at the Cleveland Clinic as an international scholar with the North American Hair Research Society, completed a mentorship program on therapeutics and dermatopathology in hair disorders. He had gained clinical experience, completed research projects and had published his work in high impact journals on hair disorders during his time there. His research, publications and presentations in scarring alopecia, especially in diagnostics and therapeutics for frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) have gained interest among hair experts around the world.

He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology, Royal College of Physicians in the UK and Ireland. He is also Associate Clinical Professor and Senior Lecturer with University College Dublin, School of Medicine where he continues his passion in research and education on skin cancer screening, prevention, surgery and scarring alopecia in close partnership with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
