Frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) typically affects post-menopausal women. However, approximately 20% of female patients are pre-menopausal and 10% are men with distinctive presentation.

Disease pattern and therapeutic options differ among patients, therefore treatment strategy has to be individualised.

Fortunately, newer and targeted treatments are available now, compared to when it was first reported in the 90s.
